“Sunflower Girl,” a short film directed by Holly M. Kaplan is a coming-of-age story of Rosie, an Asian American Tween who finds herself having to find a delicate between her role in her family and her adolescent impulses and curiosity. Sponsored by Netflix and presented by NALIP, the film offers a warm slice of life through the Asian American perspective.
