Work Hard, Play Hard
This editorial piece examines the room for expressiveness in design through a dialogue between a Modernist essay, "Crystal Goblet" by Beatrice Warde, and a Postmodernist essay, “No More Rules” by Rick Portnoy. Through a literally “180-degree different” form, the editorial puts the two conflicting essays in a direct conversation with one another to show how the Postmodernist design inherits, and, at the same time, challenges the principles of design.
